What is The Iron Collective?
The Iron Collective is a photography and videography team built on faith, excellence, and intentional storytelling. We are two artists working together with one unified vision to document your wedding day authentically and beautifully.
What is your booking process?
After you inquire, we will send over an informational video and a PDF that explains what working with us looks like. From there, we invite you to schedule a consultation where we can get to know each other and walk you through the collections. Once you are ready to move forward, we send a contract and retainer invoice to officially reserve your date.
How far in advance should we book you?
We typically book 12 to 18 months in advance. Some dates fill quickly, especially weekends in the spring and fall. If you are interested, we recommend reaching out as early as possible.
What is your editing style?
We are storytellers first. Our editing reflects the mood and tone of your wedding day, whether it is timeless and elegant or warm and joyful. We avoid trendy filters and instead lean into authenticity and emotion.
Do we get to pick the music for the film?
Yes, couples do have a say in the music we use for their wedding films. We absolutely take your preferences into consideration because we want the film to reflect your personality and style. However, we make the final decision on the music selection. Our goal is to use music in a way that uplifts specific moments in your film, rather than setting the entire tone. Think of it like how movies use scores to enhance certain scenes—for example, the song “Shallow” by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in A Star is Born was crafted specifically to elevate that emotional moment.
We focus on telling a story, not just creating a montage of events, so the music we choose plays a crucial role in shaping that narrative. Also, we need to ensure that we have proper licensing for any song used in your film. That’s why we use *Musicbed*, the industry leader in licensed music, not only for wedding films but also for corporate and other filmmaking genres. They provide us with a rich catalog of songs, ensuring that the music fits the mood while also meeting all legal requirements.
